This is a fun, experimental workshop in which we will learn the basics of using a gelli plate/gelli press to make wonderful monoprints.
In four hours, we will be able to experiment with a large variety of bases, materials and textures, to produce colorful, interesting prints, which we will then use to make mixed media art with. You will be making either a journal or an art print, or both, depending on your pace.
We will also be making photo prints, and you may bring in family and personal photos, or use pictures and photos available for you in my studio.
This workshop is open to everyone, there is absolutely no need to know how to draw, no further experience required. People most likely to enjoy the workshop will be those seeking fun and experimentation. We will basically be playing with paint and super cool materials!
