Starting September, I’ll be resuming art classes for both adults and kids, in my home studio. Below you can find all the information needed to join a class, and I’m always happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
About Me
Although my formal education is in Translation and Cultural Studies, I have been making and teaching art for the past 15 years. My work has been featured in the book, A World of Artist Journals, and I have been teaching art and art electives in my kids’ elementary school, which is a parent-participation school, for the past 6 years.
All of my classes are process-oriented, and I view my studio as a safe space for experimenting, letting go of fears and expectations, and learning by exploration. That’s a lot of words to say that the main point is TO HAVE FUN!! We create art by playing!
Paper Crafting Classes
In this class we’ll learn how to make fun interactive cards, boxes of all sizes and shapes, special books and notebooks and more! Kids will learn how to use scoring and cutting tools, and they’ll be able to plan and execute advanced paper structures.
Adult classes will be longer and more advanced, and in addition to all of the above we will also make mini-albums and create complete, frameable pieces of art.
Kids classes are on Tuesdays, 5-6:30 pm. Price is $160 per month.
Classes are for kids ages 10 and up.
Adult classes are Tuesday mornings, 9:30-11:30. Price is $240 Per month.
Art (Mixed Media) Class
Art class is all about experimentation and learning art by enjoying the process. This means we focus more on making marks, using different tools, trying new ideas and techniques, mixing colors and even making our own tools, rather than focusing on completing works of art. Throughout the year we will cover various different types of printing, collage making, painting on paper and canvas and more.
Kids classes are on Tuesdays, 5-6:30 pm. Price is $160 per month.

The Fine Print
1. Classes are held in my home studio near Rainbow Park
2. You may cancel your participation at the end of any month, with a two week advance notice.
3. There are no reimbursements for classes missed. I will be happy to find you a make-up class, but it won’t always be possible.
